Bozoma St. John

Chief Marketing Officer

Endeavor

Marketing guru and leading woman in tech, Bozoma St. John, has taken Silicon valley by storm. She is the newly-minted CMO of Endeavor, an entertainment conglomerate that includes highly-successful companies such as WME and IMG, UFC, the Miss Universe Organization, Droga5, and more.

Prior to that, she was Uber’s Chief Brand Officer, where she headed several partnerships, such as with LeBron James and Kevin Durant. At the age of five, Boz moved from Ghana to the U.S. and later attended Wesleyan University. She quickly rose the ranks as a “badass” executive no matter which Fortune 500 company she held an executive position at - from PepsiCo where she was head of music and entertainment marketing to Beats.

After Beats was acquired by Apple she became head of global and consumer marketing for iTunes and Apple Music. She stole the show at Apple’s keynote Worldwide Developers Conference when introducing the new Apple Music interface and the video went viral and Buzzfeed called her the “coolest person to ever go on stage at an Apple event.” Bozoma is making her mark with marketing. The recent launch of the NBA-themed national ad campaign “Rolling with the Champion” made a big splash as she tapped LeBron James and Maverick Carter’s digital agency Uninterrupted.

    GoBear

    Chief Product Officer / Co-Founder

As Chief Product Officer, Marnix wears many hats: he looks after paid traffic as well as theproduct team and client partnerships. In a nutshell, he’s responsible for all revenue activities at GoBear. Marnix uses his industry knowledge to spot trends and create a product that people want to use and financial services brands want to partner with.

Working in fintech before it was called “fintech”, Marnix has spent the past 15 years in the financial services industry concepting, creating and successfully launching online businesses, building online B2C and B2B products and expanding sales. In 2003 Marnix started at Aegon and worked his way up the corporate ladder, eventually leading teams that created new products, websites and award- winning apps. Towards the end of 2012 Marnix co-founded an insurance company, Kroodle.nl, that only interacted with its consumers via Facebook. Within 18 months the site was completely operational with more than 20,000 members.

Marnix loved the fast-paced nature of startups, so when he heard the idea for a company called GoBear, Marnix knew he wanted in. From 2014, Marnix helped build that idea into a company with, now, nearly 100 employees and operating in six countries.

Marnix has a bachelor of Commercial Economics from The Hague University of Applied Sciences and completed the Executive Program at Singularity University. He’s published articles for MIS Asia and ComputerWorld Asia and has been featured in articles by Microsoft and PR Newswire. Marnix gets excited talking about fintech and innovation – he’s spoken at more than 20 events and conferences around the world.
