  • Dr. Vicki Belo

    CEO and Medical Director

    Belo Medical Group

  • Speaker Bio

    Dr. Vicki Belo

    Belo Medical Group

    CEO and Medical Director

The Philippines No. 1 Beauty Expert and Doctor to the Stars, this is what Dr. Vicki Belo is known to be today. Her craft is inspired by her goal to make the Philippines the most beautiful country in the world, one person at a time. Dr. Belo is constantly inspired to make weight loss and skin solutions simpler and more available to everyone.

Dr. Victoria Belo is currently the CEO and Medical Director of Belo Medical Group. She obtained her Bachelor of Science from UP Diliman and completed her Degree of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Sto. Tomas. She later got her Diploma in Dermatology from the Institute of Dermatology in Bangkok, Thailand. Dr. Belo furthers her studies in Dermatologic and Laser Surgery at Harvard Medical School in Boston, and at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in the University of California in San Francisco.

Her efforts in promoting the business of Beauty in the Philippines has made Belo a household name, here and around the world. She has played a pivotal role in making the practice of Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery one of the fastest growing industries in the Philippines.

Dr. Belo’s vision is to make the Philippines, through Belo Medical Group, a one stop shop for beauty. BMG goes to lengths in search of the latest equipment and innovative procedures from all over the world and bring them to the Philippines. From 1990 when Dr. Belo first opened her clinic and pioneered liposuction and lasers in the country, they made sure they are in the forefront of technology and advances in the Aesthetic and Beauty Industry.

Now 14 clinic strong, strategically located around the country 12 in Metro Manila and 1 in Cebu City and in Davao City .We have also set our sights to the prospects of opening in our neighboring ASEAN countries. 2015 also marks a milestone for Dr. Belo and the company as she inaugurates the Belo Building that now houses the Main office of the Belo Medical Group, a clinic and an operating facility.

Belo Medical Group adopts international standards to compete globally. The company has endeavored to become the FIRST and only Ambulatory clinic in the Philippines to get an accreditation from NABH. NABH (NATIONAL ACCREDITATION BORAD FOR HOSPITALS AND HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS) is an international accreditation body for Ambulatory Clinics, Healthcare providers and Wellness Centers. Using the same standard and accreditation qualification as ISQua (International Society for Quality in Healthcare). The Medical facilities also carry the distinction of being the first DOH- Certified ambulatory surgi-centers for cosmetic dermatology and surgery.

Dr. Vicki Belo has the charisma which stems from her deep understanding of people’s aspiration to look and feel beautiful. She believes that Beauty should not be limited to a chosen few who were gifted with good genes. From the onset of the business and up to today, Dr. Belo has tirelessly conducted lectures to both small and large groups because she firmly believed that if people are educated about their skin and body, and the benefits of dermatological and cosmetic procedures, the more likely they will be interested to try them. She decided to use a more casual approach in these talks and use simple words and analogies to explain each procedure. She was able to bring “dermatology” out of the hospital and into casual conversations among friends. Her efforts successfully changed the perception of cosmetic surgery and dermatology, to not only be acceptable to a regular Filipino but aspirational.

In the process of growing the Belo Medical Group, she primarily employed the use of celebrity endorsers, who would greet and casually mention her name on air. Yet another pivotal communication strategy she utilized. The stars became her ‘beauty brand ambassadors’, living testaments to her expertise and bodies of work. Through the celebrity endorsements, Belo became a house hold name in Filipino Society.
Dr. Belo would always say “ Everyone deserves to be beautiful.“

In her desire to bring beauty within everyone’s reach, she with her daughter Cristalle Henares, launched a beauty line called Belo Essentials in 2007. The products are sold in all major drugstores and supermarkets in the Philippines and is recently being distributed already in selected areas abroad.
