Patty coaches and advises a small group of companies and entrepreneurs on culture and leadership as the Principal of Patty McCord Consulting.

She has many years of working with business leaders and aspiring management to help people realize and practice leadership. She is an innovative businessperson who is willing to push the boundaries of thinking about the way we work.

Patty served as Chief Talent Officer of Netflix for 12 years. Along with input from the Netflix management team, she helped to create the Netflix Culture Deck. When it was posted on the Web, this presentation took on a life of its own. Sheryl Sandberg has said it “may be the most important document ever to come out of Silicon Valley.” The presentation has been viewed more than five million times. 

Patty was in charge of operationalizing those concepts. This involved creating or sometimes eliminating patterns, systems and structure so that the words and aspirations of the culture document became behaviors ad modes of operating. 

Patty participated in the Initial Public Offering (IPO) with Netflix and before that with Pure Atria Software.  She has worked with small start-ups and very large companies. She is a veteran of Sun Microsystems, Borland and Seagate Technologies. Her background includes staffing, diversity, communications and international Human Resources positions.

    Wendy Clark was named CEO for DDB Worldwide in January 2018, leading over 200 offices and 10,000 employees globally, after two years as CEO of DDB North America. In her first years at the agency, Wendy helped land significant new business wins, including the global Volkswagen business, U.S. Army, U.S. McDonald’s business; Jim Beam; Miller Lite; AT&T; VMware; and the consolidation of the State Farm business with Omnicom.  Using DDB Flex, the bespoke, customized, cross-agency model, Wendy has redefined the modern day advertising agency, launching We are Unlimited, Velocity and Voltage to serve global clients. Wendy also grew the agency’s core leadership team with the appointment of several important new hires, such as DDB/NA CCO Ari Weiss, CSO Eric Zuncic, and Chief People Officer Britt Hayes; and most recently, DDB Canada’s CEO & CCO Brent Choi. DDB has also won multiple accolades under her leadership as global CEO, including recognition at Cannes Lions as the #3 Network of the Year and adam&eveDDB’s win as Agency of the Year.  

    Prior to DDB, Clark was President, Sparkling Brands & Strategic Marketing for Coca-Cola North America, leading their Strategic Marketing organization including Brand Strategy and Innovation; Media Connections, Investments and Assets; and Content and Design. Before joining The Coca-Coca Company, Clark was Senior Vice President, Advertising for AT&T.  

    Advertising Age’s Executive of the Year in 2017, Clark has also earned the Matrix Award from New York Women in Communications, She Runs It’s Advertising Woman of the Year, and was named the Brand Refresher on Fast Company’s top ten list of innovative Business Disruptors. Clark’s was inducted into the American Advertising Federation’s Advertising Hall of Achievement in 2007.  

    Clark is an advisory board member for the Peabody Awards and IDEO.org and a board director for the Ad Council and American Advertising Federation. She also sits on the board for David Yurman.

It’s everywhere you want to be”.   At the turn of the century, Matt pivoted to U.S. Olympic Committee heading into the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics to lead brand development. His work capped off with designing the best-selling line of merchandise in Olympic history.  Most recently, Matt looked after worldwide brand strategy and development for McDonald’s and stewarded the global “i’m lovin it” campaign across 120 countries.  His leadership resulted in a decade of growth. In garnering 200+ Effie Awards, McDonald’s the World’s Most Effective Advertised Brand for two consecutive years, and the Cannes Lions Marketer of the Year… where he’s credited with winning 88 Cannes Lions.

    A strong advocate of creative technology & collaborative innovation, he founded Grey Innovation lab as Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer for GREY GROUP Greater China. Prior to joining Grey, he was the Chief Strategy & Innovation Catalyst at McCann Worldgroup, Greater China where he was highly regarded for his integrated creative strategies and disruptive ideas in design, branded content and digital technology led innovation on brands like Puma, L'Oréal Group, MasterCard, Nestle, Intel and Coca-Cola.

    Before moving to China in 2007, Thakar was Deputy Managing Director and Chief Strategy Officer at McCann Worldgroup Malaysia (South East Asia).

    .     Dexter Ong is Head of Asia for Wattpad Studios. He oversees Wattpad Studio’s expansion in Asian markets, working with local entertainment studios, producers and writers to turn Wattpad stories into film, television, print and digital projects.

    Wattpad is the largest social storytelling platform in nearly every market on the planet, with a global community of more than 65 million users, including more than 17 million people in Southeast Asia who spend billions of minutes on the platform every month. The company has previously partnered with the TV5 Network in the Philippines to co-produce the Wattpad Presents anthology series. The show produced 250 episodes based on Wattpad stories.

    Previously, Ong was the Director of Corporate Development for 21st Century Fox Asia, where he developed corporate strategies for production and digital video products.

     Prior to 21st Century Fox, Ong was with CA Media, the Asia arm of The Chernin Group, where he led content development for NET TV.

    Based in Hong Kong, Dexter received his undergraduate degree from the University of Cambridge.

    Yeo Siang Tiong was appointed as General Manager for Kaspersky Lab Southeast Asia (SEA) in February 2018. In this role he is responsible for further implementing the company’s strategic business vision for the region’s SMB and enterprise markets and accelerating the growth of Kaspersky Lab’s industrial cybersecurity solutions and services across various sectors in six SEA countries.

    Yeo is a veteran sales and channel professional with over 20 years of experience across the information & communication technology sector in Southeast Asia and the APAC market. Prior to joining Kaspersky Lab, Yeo was the SMB and Channel Sales Director of Hewlett Packard Enterprise into the mid-market and SMB enterprise market segment in Singapore. He was responsible for building the channel ecosystems and growing sales.

    He has an MBA in Finance from Manchester University, and a degree in Electronics Engineering from the National University of Singapore.

    This London School of Economics graduate has spent the last 15 years happily lost in Asia building, managing, selling and integrating digital businesses in over 20 markets that have been regional and global in scale.  

    He started his marketing career in 2005 in China as Commercial Director for CBS before relocating to Singapore to help set up an ad network.  He subsequently sold that business before going on to help acquire and integrate several digital businesses over a 10 year period that generated revenues of over 1 billion dollars.  With the help of his amazing teams he entered 10 new markets, set up a social media agency, launched Twitter in Asia and set up multiple strategic partnerships in the technology and media space, most notably with Facebook and Google.  This social media agency was sold to Asia’s largest tel-co holding group Axiata in 2015 and for 3 years he ran their integrated digital marketing business and their JV with leading Facebook Marketing Partner AdParlor as CEO.

    He is part the global leadership team at Whalar and CEO for Asia.  Whalar are liberating the creative voice using technology and digital native creators.  They are an official Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat partner, have Sir John Hegarty as chairman and now operate in more than 50 markets servicing over 200 brands partners.

    Hans’ foray into the marketing field began when he was casted for a TV ad in the Philippines.

    Twenty-four years and a few digital disruptions later, Hans now works ‘behind the scenes’ as Chief Operating Officer at BBDO Greater China - one of the few in the industry with a background in Account Planning, a field which he continues to lead at the agency.

    Under his leadership, BBDO’s China campaigns have won over 40 local as well as regional strategy/effectiveness awards including multiple golds at the WARC Prize for Asian Strategy as well as a WARC Prize Grand Prix for Social Strategy. He was also Campaign’s Greater China Planner of the Year in 2013.

    Prior to joining BBDO, Hans was Vice President and Head of Planning at McCann Worldgroup in Manila where he helped establish the agency’s best-in-class strategic planning capability. He also drove pan-Asian strategy for Unilever’s Take-Home Ice Cream business & Coca-Cola’s ‘Coke-with-Food’ campaigns. In 2006, Hans was cross-posted to McCann Worldgroup offices in Toronto and New York.

    Kristine is the managing partner of our Philippines office.
    She is the first Filipina to be elected partner in the firm.

    Kristine advises clients on a range of issues, from market entry and growth to performance transformation. Her extensive experience in the design and implementation of large-scale transformation programs informs her work on building successful, sustainable organizations in the private and public sectors of the Philippines. She also helps clients develop and implement digital strategies. She works across key sectors, including financial services, healthcare, education, infrastructure, transportation, consumer goods, and the public sector.

    Across Southeast Asia, Kristine counsels government entities on how to accelerate economic development and strengthen public finances. She is deeply committed to the region, particularly the Philippines. When super typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) hit the Philippines in November 2013, Kristine led McKinsey’s work to support government agencies, nongovernmental organizations, and private firms in their disaster-relief and - recovery activities. She continues to work with a private-sector-led consortium to institutionalize a coordinated response from the business community in times of disaster.

    Examples of Kristine’s recent client work include the following:
    • developing a ten-year blueprint to transform the Ministry of Finance in a large Asian country
     helping shape the long-term strategy for an Asian infrastructure fund
    • supporting a Southeast Asian government in shaping an economic-stimulus package
    • advising a leading financial-services firm in the Philippines on its retail- and commercial-growth strategies
    • developing a Philippines market-entry strategy for a multinational consumergoods company
    • assisting a global pharmaceutical firm with its Philippines growth strategy, which included assessing the healthcare preferences of the country’s fast-growing middle class McKinsey & Company

    Marita lives and breathes Zilingo and adopts a “get things done” approach to life; constantly thinking about what’s next for the company and strategizing on growth and brand across Zilingo’s businesses. She is also an advocate of young leadership and makes it a point to mentor teams and new leaders as a part of her day-to-day. Marita hopes to see Zilingo evolve into a single, all-encompassing platform for retail, touching customers and businesses globally across the entire supply chain.

    A well-known fact about her: she loves food and cocktails (read: bar hopping). Lesser known fact: she writes poetry and travelogues in her free time.

    Before Zilingo, Marita worked at Zomato, building up her expertise in sales and marketing in various managerial roles. She has experience managing a diverse portfolio across marketing, PR, branding, content production, analytics, and more. Marita holds a B.A. Honours in Economics from St. Stephen’s College.

    Benjie G. Yap is the Chairman of Unilever Philippines—the first homegrown talent at the helm of the leading consumer packaged goods company in over 30 years.Driven by the ambition to uplift the quality of life of the Filipinos they serve, his leadership is anchored on Winning with Purpose as he leads the transformation of well-loved products to brands with deeper social purpose.

    Benjie’s Unilever career has spanned more than 20 years in various roles across Supply Chain, Marketing and Customer Development.

    He joined the company as a Technical Management Trainee in 1994 with initial stints in Manufacturing, Engineering, R&D and Packaging Development. He shifted careers and joined Marketing as a Marketing Director of Home Care in 2001. He later joined the National Board of Directors as the Foods Managing Director, VP for Home Care and Foods, and VP for Customer Development.  

    Benjie also took on international roles as Product Development Manager in Port Sunlight UK in 1999 and as VP for Home Care of Unilever Thailand in 2009.

    He currently sits as Co-Chairperson of Grow Asia – Philippines Partnership for Sustainable Agriculture, alongside the Secretary of the Department of Agriculture, and a member of the Board of Advisors of De La Salle University’s College of Engineering.

    He was awarded the IABC CEO Excel Award in 2007 and the AGORA Outstanding Achievement Award for Marketing Management in 2015.

    Recognized as one of its top alumni, Benjie graduated from the De La Salle University with a degree in BS Industrial Engineering with a minor in Mechanical Engineering.

    He is married to Karen and is a proud father to Martina and Dylan.

In 2013, Campaign Asia-Pacific named Andreas Planner of the Year for North Asia, and in 2017, he received the Strategic/Brand Planner of the Year title for Greater China. The same year, he was also listed among Creativepool’s Global Top 100 Influencers.

    Andreas is a published author in the field of cross-cultural consumer research, and frequently writes for industry publications such as ClickZ, Marketing Magazine, Campaign Brief Asia, Campaign Asia, and the WARC Blog.

    He regularly gives guest lectures at various universities in Hong Kong, talks to start-ups at Hong Kong Science Park, and also speaks at international marketing conventions such as Advertising Week in Tokyo, DigiCon in Manila, and ADSTARS in Busan.

    Andreas is fluent in German, English, Korean, and claims to know how to get himself into trouble in Russian.
    In his free time, Andreas likes to illustrate comics, try not to injure himself during CrossFit, and continuously find new ways to keep his little daughter entertained.
